Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA / RMA) – Outpatient Surgical & Specialty Practice.
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and professional Certified Medical Assistant (CMA / RMA) to join our outpatient specialty clinic team. In this role, you will perform essential clinical support duties under the supervision of physicians and office nursing staff. Responsibilities include patient rooming and vital signs, phlebotomy, diagnostic lab collection, procedure assistance, patient education, and routine exam room maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Procedures & Care: Perform phlebotomy (blood draws), administer injections and routine immunizations, perform routine clinic lab tests, and assist physicians with specialized exams and minor office procedures.
- Patient Intake & Vital Signs: Greet and room patients, measure and record vitals (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration), and assist patients safely to and from exam suites.
- Clinic Administration & Communication: Manage patient phone inquiries and instructions under provider direction, assist with referral forms, lab requisitions, and maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Room Maintenance & Inventory: Clean, sanitize, and stock examination rooms with necessary medical supplies; requisition inventory as needed to ensure optimal clinic operation.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain strict patient confidentiality (HIPAA), demonstrate emotional stability in high-volume settings, and work adaptively across clinical team workflows.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education & Training: Minimum of 2 years in a formal accredited Medical Assistant curriculum or specialized MA training program [Required].
- Clinical Experience: Minimum 3+ years of demonstrated hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare/medical practice setting [Required].
Certifications:
- Active national credential as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) [Required].
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
- Core Competencies: Excellent phlebotomy and clinical lab skills, strict adherence to patient privacy standards, calm professional demeanor in fast-paced clinical environments, and strong collaborative communication.
