Position Overview & Clinical Scope:
An outpatient clinic in southern New Hampshire is seeking a Temporary Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a 4-day, 10-hour day shift schedule. The CMA will perform clinical support duties, administrative patient preparation, and basic laboratory procedures under the direct supervision of the clinic nurse or physician.
Core Responsibilities & Clinical Duties:
- Patient Intake & Vitals: Escort patients to/from exam rooms, prepare patients for exams/treatments, and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration).
- Clinical Procedures: Perform phlebotomy/blood draws, injections, pediatric immunizations, point-of-care lab tests, and clinical procedures within the CMA scope of practice.
- Physician Support: Assist providers during patient examinations, minor procedures, and clinical nursing tasks.
- Patient Communication: Handle incoming/outgoing patient phone calls and deliver care instructions as directed by the physician.
- Clinic Operations: Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms, requisition supplies, and assist with medical record documentation, including lab slips and referral forms.
Candidate Submission & Qualification Requirements:
Licensure & Certifications:
- National Certification: Active AAMA Certification or equivalent (NHA, AMT, NCCT) uploaded with submission [REQUIRED AT SUBMISSION].
- Life Support: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification [REQUIRED AT SUBMISSION].
Experience & Skills:
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current Medical Assistant experience [REQUIRED].
- Specialty Experience: Previous Outpatient Cardiology experience [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
- Travel Experience: Prior travel healthcare experience [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
