Job Title: Healthcare Inventory Aide / Supply Chain Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Healthcare Inventory Aide to manage the counting, picking, and distribution of medical supplies across hospital units and PAR supply rooms. In this role, you will maintain optimal stock levels for clinical operations, fulfill urgent supply requisitions, ensure proper product rotation, and distribute essential equipment to patient care areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Replenishment & PAR Management: Count, pick, and restock low unit of measure (LUM) medical/surgical supplies in nursing PAR areas and clean supply rooms to ensure operational readiness.
  • Order Fulfillment: Process and fill routine and emergency supply requests placed via telephone, verbal communication, Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, or handheld scanning terminals.
  • Supply Quality Control: Inspect packages for integrity, report stock discrepancies, verify expiration dates, and perform stock rotation (FIFO) to eliminate expired inventory.
  • Equipment & Furniture Distribution: Prepare, clean, and deliver mobile medical equipment, instruments, trays, and hospital furniture to patient care units and ancillary departments.
  • Inventory Auditing & Area Maintenance: Conduct regular cycle counts as assigned and maintain clean, organized PAR supply areas according to bin locations.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 1+ years of inventory control or supply chain experience within a healthcare setting [Required].
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with basic medical terminology and medical/surgical supplies [Required].
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent [Required].
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and experience using digital handheld terminals or inventory management software [Required].
  • Physical & Core Skills: Strong organizational abilities, high attention to detail, and the physical stamina required to push/pull supply carts and lift medical equipment across hospital facilities.
