Role Overview
Seeking an experienced, highly reliable Cardiac Catheterization Technologist (RCIS) for a temporary travel contract assignment in Petoskey, MI. The Cath Lab Tech will assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, maintain sterile fields, operate hemodynamic monitoring systems, and ensure high-quality patient care in a specialized cardiovascular environment.

Key Responsibilities & Clinical Scope:
  • Intraoperative Assistance: Scrub, monitor, and circulate during adult diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and peripheral vascular procedures.
  • Hemodynamic Monitoring & Equipment: Set up, calibrate, and operate hemodynamic monitoring systems, digital imaging equipment, and specialized interventional devices.
  • Sterile Field & Inventory Management: Maintain strict sterile field protocols, assist physicians with vascular access, and maintain accurate inventory counts of catheters, stents, and specialized cardiovascular disposables.
  • Patient Care & Safety: Prepare and position patients, monitor vital signs and patient status throughout procedures, and assist with post-procedure sheath removal and hemostasis.

Qualifications & Candidate Requirements:
  • Certifications & Licensure:
    • Active Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential [REQUIRED].
    • Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [REQUIRED].
  • Clinical Experience:
    • Minimum 2+ years of dedicated Cath Lab Technologist experience [REQUIRED].
  • Strict Attendance Policy: Facility enforces a strict 3-strike attendance policy. Any contractor absent or more than 20 minutes late 3 times will face immediate termination (except verified medical emergencies/hospitalization) [REQUIRED].

Schedule & On-Call Structure:
  • Shift Schedule: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | 4 x 10-hour shifts (40 hours/week guaranteed).
  • Weekend Requirements: Required for on-call coverage.
  • On-Call Requirements: On-call shifts required (includes weeknights and weekend rotation).
