Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room / Surgical Services.
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical. Technologist (CST) to support a comprehensive surgical services department. In this role, you will assist surgical teams across a full spectrum of general, elective, specialized, and critical life-saving procedures. You will be responsible for preparing sterile operating suites, maintaining strict aseptic fields, passing instrumentation, and supporting advanced robotic and specialty surgical cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surgical Instrumentation & Scrub Support: Prepare operating rooms with required instruments, equipment, and supplies. Maintain sterile fields and scrub for procedures across multiple specialties.
- Specialty Case Coverage: Provide expert CST support for Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology (GYN), Endovascular/Vascular, and Robotic (da Vinci Xi) cases.
- Intraoperative Collaboration: Assist surgeons and circulating nurses during operative procedures, anticipating physician needs, passing instruments, and ensuring accurate instrument/sponge counts.
- Aseptic Technique & Safety: Maintain strict aseptic technique, monitor sterile boundaries, and properly handle tissue specimens, sterile equipment, and surgical supplies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of current clinical CST experience in a hospital surgical setting [Required].
- Clinical Specialty Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Ortho, Neuro, General, Robotic Xi, Urology, GYN, and Endovascular/Vascular procedures [Required]. (ENT experience preferred).
Certifications:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential [Required].
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
- Core Competencies: Excellent knowledge of surgical instrumentation, strict adherence to aseptic technique, strong teamwork in fast-paced OR environments, and quick adaptability during complex cases.
