Role Overview:
Seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a direct-hire, permanent placement position in New Hope, MN. Managing patient flow across a diverse lifespan (pediatrics through geriatrics), the CMA/LPN provides collaborative, supportive clinical and administrative care under the supervision of clinic providers and nursing leadership in an outpatient clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Practice:
  • Patient Flow & Clinical Support: Perform standard patient rooming protocols, obtain vital signs, gather medical histories, and assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and minor procedures.
  • Medications & Specimen Collection: Administer ordered immunizations, injections, and medications; perform phlebotomy and collect/process routine laboratory specimens.
  • Expanded Specialty Duties (As Assigned):
    • Provide triage telephone support and facilitate patient-provider communications.
    • Assist with prescription refill requests and prior authorization processing.
    • Perform basic point-of-care clinic lab tests and basic X-ray duties (if state X-ray operator exam is passed).
  • Administrative & Operational Support: Assist with front desk check-in, customer service, supply inventory management, and stocking examination rooms.

Qualifications & Candidate Requirements:
Option A: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA / RMA)
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent [REQUIRED].
  • Accredited Training: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (ABHES or CAAHEP accredited) OR graduate of a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) program accredited by a national health services organization (e.g., AMT) with on-the-job experience [REQUIRED].
  • Certifications: Active CMA / RMA certification and active BLS certification [REQUIRED].
Option B: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Licensure: Active Minnesota LPN License verified at time of submission [REQUIRED].
  • Certifications: Active BLS certification [REQUIRED].

Agency Direct-Application Restriction:
Candidates who have previously applied directly to the health system are strictly ineligible for agency submission.

Compensation & Direct-Hire Benefits:
  • LPN Base Wage Range: $24.50 – $32.77 / hour (Dependent on experience).

Schedule & Hours:
  • FTE & Commitment: 0.6 FTE (Part-Time / 24 hours per week average).
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (7:45 AM – 8:15 PM or 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM).
  • Rotational Schedule (6-Week Cycle):
    • Week 1: Sat / Sun (8:00 AM – 8:30 PM)
    • Week 2: Tue / Thu (7:45 AM – 8:15 PM)
    • Week 3: Mon (8:00 AM – 8:30 PM) / Tue (7:45 AM – 8:15 PM)
    • Week 4: Sat / Sun (8:00 AM – 8:30 PM)
    • Week 5: Mon / Wed (7:45 AM – 8:15 PM)
    • Week 6: Mon (8:00 AM – 8:30 PM) / Tue (7:45 AM – 8:15 PM)
  • Weekend Requirements: Rotating weekends as scheduled per department rotation.
  • On-Call Requirements: None.
