Job Title: Medical Assistant (MA) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to manage patient flow and support healthcare providers in the delivery of outpatient clinical care. In this role, you will perform collaborative, supportive, and delegated tasks across diverse patient populations—including pediatric, adult, and geriatric care—while ensuring an efficient and welcoming environment.
Compensation & Pay Rates:
- Medical Assistant Rate: $22.23 – $27.37 / hour (commensurate with experience).
- LPN Rate: $24.50 – $32.77 / hour (commensurate with experience).
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care & Rooming: Conduct standard rooming procedures, record vital signs, take patient histories, and assist providers during examinations and clinical procedures.
- Medications & Admin: Administer immunizations, injections, and medications strictly as directed by the provider.
- Laboratory & Phlebotomy: Perform laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and routine clinic laboratory tests.
- Patient Communication & Administrative Support: Provide telephone support, facilitate provider-patient communication, assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations, and assist with front-desk check-in as needed.
- Clinic Operations: Assist in ordering and stocking supplies, maintaining clean exam rooms, and supporting daily operational workflow. (X-ray operator duties may apply for qualified individuals).
Qualifications & Requirements:
For Medical Assistants (MA):
- High School Diploma or GED [Required].
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (ABHES/CAAHEP) or accredited RMA program with passed RMA exam [Required].
- Primary Care clinical experience [Required].
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification [Required].
For Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN):
- Active State LPN/PN License [Required].
- Previous experience in an outpatient or clinical setting [Required].
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification [Required].
