Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant II - Family Medicine (CMA / RMA / CCMA)

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and organized Certified Medical Assistant II to join an outpatient Family Medicine care team. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between patients and medical providers by delivering compassionate clinical support, managing front-desk patient reception, performing diagnostic testing, and maintaining a sterile, fully prepared clinical environment.

Compensation:
  • Hourly Salary Range: $21.19 – $32.85 / hour (commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Reception & Intake: Greet and check in patients, register new individuals, establish medical records, and take accurate vital signs.
  • Clinical Support: Assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures; prioritize emergency patient situations effectively.
  • Laboratory & Specimen Duties: Collect, process, and handle routine laboratory specimens, draw blood, and perform simple diagnostic tests.
  • Injections & Sterilization: Administer authorized injections, sterilize and autoclave medical instruments, and maintain strict aseptic techniques.
  • Administrative & Scheduling: Schedule appointments, handle patient phone inquiries, assist with insurance forms, and prepare patient billings.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program [Required].
  • Certifications / Credentials:
    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the AAMA OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the AMT OR CCMA designation [Required].
    • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
  • Experience: Prior work experience in an office or outpatient ambulatory care setting [Strongly Preferred].
  • Core Competencies: Excellent communication skills, strong proficiency in clinical equipment operation, and a high standard of patient care and safety.
