Role Overview:
Seeking an Inpatient Pharmacist for a temporary contract assignment in Berlin, NH. The pharmacist will oversee inpatient pharmacy operations, perform clinical medication order reviews, manage hospital dispenses, and collaborate with clinical staff in a critical-access community health setting utilizing Meditech EMR and Omnicell automation systems.

Key Responsibilities & Clinical Scope:
  • Medication Order Verification & Dispensing: Evaluate, verify, and process inpatient medication orders for safety, dosing accuracy, drug interactions, and clinical appropriateness.
  • Clinical & Operational Oversight: Supervise compounding, unit-dose distribution, and IV admixture preparation in compliance with pharmacy standards and hospital policies.
  • Automation & Systems Management: Utilize Meditech electronic health records and Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets to manage medication workflows and inventory.
  • Interdisciplinary Consultation: Provide drug information and pharmacotherapy recommendations to physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members.

Qualifications & Candidate Requirements:
  • Licensure & Certifications:
    • Active New Hampshire Pharmacist License (Must apply the day an offer is accepted; processing takes up to 30 days) [REQUIRED].
    • Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [REQUIRED].
  • Clinical Experience:
    • Minimum 2+ years of current hospital pharmacy experience [REQUIRED] (Will consider 1 year of experience if 100% hospital-based with Meditech expertise).
    • Total pharmacy experience of 2 to 5 years [PREFERRED].
  • Technical & Practice Preferences:
    • Prior Critical Access Hospital experience [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
    • Hands-on Meditech EMR and Omnicell ADC system experience [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
    • Previous travel contract experience [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
  • Submission Documentation: Pharmacist Skills Checklist, 1 supervisory reference signed within the past year, valid NH license proof, and candidate permanent address [REQUIRED].

Schedule & Work Environment:
  • Shift Schedule: Day Shift | Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (8 hours/day | Arrive between 6:30 AM – 7:00 AM).
  • Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd weekend rotation (Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM; Arrive 6:30 AM – 7:00 AM).
  • On-Call Requirements: None.
