Job Title: Inpatient Nursing Supervisor (Night & Weekend Operations) – Exempt

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, decisive, and highly dependable Nursing Supervisor to direct hospital operations during evening, night, and weekend shifts. In this vital leadership role, you will hold administrative and operational responsibility not only for inpatient units but for all active ancillary and support departments during these hours.
The ideal candidate is recognized as a role model for clinical expertise, possesses a history of calm and logical decision-making during high-acuity/emergency situations, and has the leadership presence necessary to support, motivate, and guide clinical staff through a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Shift Details

  • Salary Structure: This is an Exempt, Salaried Contract Position paying a flat rate of $5,200 per week (equivalent to $1,040/day).
  • Scheduling Logistics: Because this is an exempt-level leadership position, there are no hourly overtime premiums, holiday multipliers, or on-call differentials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hospital Operations Management: Oversee and coordinate the clinical, operational, and administrative workflows of the entire hospital facility during off-peak hours (evenings, nights, and weekends).
  • Clinical Oversight & Support: Serve as an expert clinical resource, providing immediate support to staff handling emergency, trauma, and critical care situations.
  • Problem & Conflict Resolution: Actively manage and resolve clinical, staffing, or interpersonal conflicts fairly and consistently in alignment with hospital policies.
  • Staff Coordination: Support shift-to-shift operations, managing staff allocations and clinical resource distribution across active inpatient units.
  • Operational Leadership: Calmly and simultaneously manage multiple high-intensity activities or emergent issues as they arise, ensuring seamless patient safety and care delivery.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

Leadership & Clinical Experience

  • Leadership Track Record: Minimum of 3+ years of successful nursing leadership/supervisory experience [Required].
  • Emergency/Critical Care Savvy: Demonstrated working knowledge of acute care medical center daily operations, including direct experience handling emergency, trauma, and critical care events [Required].
  • Educational Foundation: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher [Required].
  • Operational Strengths: Proven expertise in conflict resolution, familiarity with modern healthcare staffing systems, and documented evidence of continuous professional growth in healthcare.
  • Logistics: Candidates must have access to a reliable, personal vehicle for travel/commute purposes.

Licensure & Certifications

  • State Licensure: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license [Required].
  • Life Support Certifications: Must be active and issued via the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required]:
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
