Schedule: 37.5 Hours/Week | Standard Day Shifts (Flexible scheduling available; regular operational hours span Mon–Thu 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM, Fri 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Sat 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM)

Travel & Reimbursement: Local travel reimbursed at standard IRS rate ($0.70/mile) when personal vehicle is used
Facility & Program Overview:
An outpatient behavioral health program in the Southgate, MI area is seeking a full-time Adult Outpatient Therapist to deliver clinical services and therapeutic interventions. The role focuses on comprehensive mental health and co-occurring substance abuse care for adults and families utilizing Person-Centered Planning principles within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Clinical Services & Assessment: Conduct intake evaluations and assess/document client needs for outpatient mental health and co-occurring substance abuse treatment.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide individual and group therapy for adults and families.
- Care Coordination & Discharge: Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, external agencies, and support networks; execute effective discharge planning prior to case closure.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain timely clinical records and agency documentation; adhere to professional codes of ethics and funding source/contractual standards.
- Teamwork & Training: Participate in clinical supervision, case consultations, and multidisciplinary team meetings. Complete 24 hours of required specialized training in adult mental health and co-occurring disorders (employer-funded).
Candidate Submission & Qualification Requirements:
Education & Licensure:
- Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling [REQUIRED].
- State Licensure: Active Michigan State Licensure corresponding to degree (LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LLP, or TLLP) [REQUIRED].
- Required Credentialing: Must obtain Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) status within 120 days of hire [REQUIRED].
Clinical Experience & Competencies:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness (fieldwork/internship hours are applicable) [REQUIRED].
- Core Skills: Strong independent judgment, organizational skills, excellent written/verbal communication, and proven capability in Person-Centered Planning.
- Cultural Competency: Ability to engage diverse populations, build therapeutic relationships, and collaborate with multidisciplinary providers.
