Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide basic nursing and restorative care to our residents under the supervision of LPNs and RNs. In this role, you will assist residents with daily living activities, personal hygiene, mobility, and nutritional needs while ensuring a safe, respectful, and supportive care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing, specified skin care treatments, feeding, hydration, and toileting according to individual Resident Care Plans.
- Mobility & Restorative Support: Help residents with ambulation, range-of-motion exercises, turning, positioning, and safe transfers.
- Clinical Monitoring & Reporting: Attend pre-shift reports, monitor input/output and caloric counts, and keep licensed nursing staff informed of any changes in resident condition, behavior, or supply needs.
- Environment & Safety: Maintain a clean, secure environment, follow emergency and infection control protocols, redirect wandering or confused residents, and prioritize resident safety and fall prevention at all times.
- Resident Advocacy: Maintain strict resident privacy and confidentiality, respect individual spiritual beliefs, and encourage residents to participate in their own care to their highest functional level.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 1+ year of current clinical experience as a Nursing Assistant. Experience in small, rural facilities or travel assignments is highly preferred.
- Licensure: Active New Hampshire CNA License or an active Compact State Nursing License.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Immunizations: Completed COVID-19 vaccination series.
- Skills & Abilities: Ability to float between units as needed, strong observational skills, and a commitment to resident rights and safety.
