This full-time opportunity is ideal for providers with a strong background in cardiology, interventional cardiology, or electrophysiology, working within a collaborative academic and clinical environment.
Schedule & Coverage:
- Schedule: Monday – Thursday
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (flexible)
- Weekly Commitment: 40 hours per week
- Call Requirement: None (Scheduled + No Call)
- Orientation: All hours billable
- Observed Holidays Included
Practice Setting:
- Hospital-based setting.
- Academic/Training environment.
- Clinic/Private Practice involvement.
- Telemedicine capabilities available.
Clinical Details:
- Patient Volume: Approximately 18 patients per day
- Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics (ages 18–100)
- Department: Interventional Cardiology / Electrophysiology
- EMR: Epic
- Facility Size: 270 beds
Clinical Scope & Responsibilities:
- Provide care in a cardiology-focused setting, including interventional and electrophysiology patient populations.
- Manage patients across the continuum of care, including postoperative follow-up.
- Work collaboratively with an assigned clinical support team.
Procedures (Exposure – Not Performed by APP):
Interventional Cardiology:
- Right/Left Heart Catheterization (R/LHC)
- Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
- Balloon Angioplasty
- Balloon Pump
Electrophysiology:
- Pacemaker Implant
- ICD Implant (traditional and subcutaneous)
- Loop Recorder Implant and/or Explant
- Ablations (AVN, SVT, Atrial Flutter)
Support Structure:
- Dedicated clinical team assigned
Requirements:
- Board Certification: Required (Family Medicine)
- Licensure: Active state license required (or willingness to obtain)
- DEA: Required
- Certifications:
- BLS (Required)
- ACLS (Required)
