Patient Registration Manager
Compensation & Expectations
- Pay Rate: $3,800.00 / week (Flat Exempt Rate)
- Schedule: Flexible scheduling (No fixed start/end times). Since Patient Registration operates 24/7, the manager must maintain visibility across all shifts (e.g., starting as early as 6:00 AM on occasion to overlap with night-shift staff).
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Patient Registration Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Patient Registration Department. In this leadership role, you will plan, organize, direct, and evaluate all registration activities while supporting Shared Services initiatives. You will be responsible for quality management, human resources compliance, operational budget oversight, and strategic planning for customer-focused patient access services.
Key Responsibilities
- Departmental Leadership: Direct and evaluate all operational activities within the Patient Registration Department to maintain high customer service and efficiency standards.
- Shift Engagement: Maintain active engagement across all shifts (24/7 coverage environment) to ensure consistent communication and operational oversight.
- Shared Services Integration: Assist in overseeing Shared Services responsibilities related to patient registration and customer onboarding.
- Quality & Performance Improvement: Identify, implement, and track Total Quality Management initiatives to optimize workflow and registration accuracy.
- Financial & Strategic Management: Manage departmental budgetary resources within approved financial parameters; develop and execute short- and long-term operational plans.
- HR & Staff Management: Facilitate compliance with organizational Human Resources processes, staff development, and performance evaluations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
- Healthcare Management: Minimum of 3+ years of supervisory/management experience in a healthcare setting [Required].
- Hospital Registration: Direct leadership experience in a customer-focused patient registration process at a hospital [Required].
- Labor Relations: Direct experience managing in complex union environments [Required].
- Billing & Insurance: Thorough knowledge of medical insurance plans and how they relate to hospital/medical billing processes [Required].
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent [Required].
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field [Preferred].
