Job Title: Medical Assistant (Outpatient Clinic).
Job Summary: We are seeking a versatile and professional Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient practice setting. In this role, you will work closely with physicians to ensure efficient patient flow, room patients, obtain clinical histories, perform basic procedures, and handle administrative duties to deliver a seamless care experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Intake & Care: Escort patients to exam rooms, record vital signs, gather brief clinical histories, and prepare patients and equipment for exams and procedures.
- Clinical Support & Procedures: Assist physicians during clinical examinations and minor procedures, administer injections, and perform patient/family health education and counseling.
- Administrative & Clerical Duties: Manage phone communications, process specialist referrals, schedule follow-up appointments and procedures, and complete required medical forms.
- Instrument Care & Room Maintenance: Stock examination rooms, maintain medical supplies, clean clinical areas, and operate autoclaves for instrument sterilization.
- Practice Operations: Support staff orientation, attend team meetings, and assume charge or coordination roles when designated by leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent [Required].
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient or clinic setting [Required].
- Competencies: Strong phone etiquette, patient greeting skills, proficiency with medical administrative workflows, instrument sanitation/sterilization knowledge, and a patient-centered approach to care.
