Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (Outpatient Physician Office)
Job Summary: We are seeking an organized and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (MA) to support daily operations in our physician office clinic. In this role, you will deliver direct clinical care, perform patient rooming, gather medical histories, assist physicians with office procedures, administer injections, and facilitate clear patient communication regarding care plans and test results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Intake & Patient Care: Welcome and room patients, obtain accurate routine vital signs, gather pertinent health histories, and document information accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Procedure Assistance & Specimen Collection: Educate and prepare patients for in-office procedures, assist physicians during exams, and collect/prepare laboratory specimens.
- Clinical Administration: Prepare surgical/procedure packets, obtain appropriate informed consent forms, and ensure all pre-procedure documentation is complete.
- Medications & Patient Communication: Administer injections under the direct supervision of a physician. Communicate test results and physician-directed follow-up plans to patients in a clear, compassionate manner.
- Office Efficiency: Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and support overall clinical workflow to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician practice or outpatient clinic setting [Required].
- Certification: Active Medical Assistant Certification (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA) [Required].
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
- Core Competencies: Excellent interpersonal communication, strong organizational skills, proficiency with clinical EHR/EMR systems, and previous travel assignment experience [Highly Preferred].
