Role Overview:
- Shift Schedule: Afternoon Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (8-hour shifts | 32 hours/week guaranteed).

Seeking an exceptionally reliable and experienced Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) for a temporary contract assignment in Pittsfield, MA. Operating on a compact hospital psychiatric unit, the clinician will conduct psychosocial assessments, deliver crisis interventions, manage discharge planning, and support pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients across acute and emergency psychiatric settings.
Key Responsibilities & Clinical Scope:
- Psychosocial Assessments & Interventions: Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations and provide therapeutic intervention for diverse patient populations (pediatric, adolescent, and adult).
- Crisis Management & ED Consultation: Provide swift crisis evaluations and stabilization support, coordinating closely with emergency department and acute psychiatric care teams.
- Discharge Planning & Care Coordination: Develop safe, individualized discharge plans, liaising with outpatient providers, community resources, state agencies, and families.
- Unit Continuity: Maintain complete coverage and operational compliance on a specialized, small-volume clinical unit where strict attendance and reliability are critical.
Qualifications & Candidate Requirements:
Education & Licensure:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) [REQUIRED].
- Active Massachusetts Social Work License in-hand at time of submission and uploaded with profile [REQUIRED].
Certifications:
- Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [REQUIRED].
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification [REQUIRED].
Clinical Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years of psychiatric social work experience [REQUIRED].
- Demonstrated clinical experience across pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations [REQUIRED].
- Prior Emergency Department (ED) clinical experience [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
