Job Title: Radiology / MRI Aide.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Radiology / MRI Aide to support our busy diagnostic imaging department. In this role, you will assist MRI Technologists with patient workflow, safety screenings, and room turnover to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient department operations.
You will work closely within a team environment, averaging approximately 9 patients per shift, and you will always be paired with another Tech Aide or MRI Technologist (never working solo).

Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Support: Assist in preparing and escorting patients to and from the MRI suite, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and a smooth clinical workflow.
- Safety Screening: Aid the clinical team in verifying MRI safety questionnaires and ensuring no ferromagnetic objects enter the magnetic zone.
- Turnover & Logistics: Clean, sanitize, and stock the imaging rooms between patient exams following strict infection control protocols.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with technologists to manage a daily volume of approximately 9 patient exams per shift.
- On-Call Support: Assist the department during routine hours and support the on-call schedule as needed for late-night or emergency department coverage.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications.
Experience & Technical Background:
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current experience working in a dedicated MRI environment or radiology department [Required].
- Equipment Familiarity: Direct experience working alongside GE MRI equipment platforms [Required].
- Logistics: Candidates must have a reliable, personal vehicle for commuting to the facility.
Certifications & Document Requirements:
- Life Support: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
- References: One signed supervisory reference from within the past two years of healthcare employment.
- Skills Checklist: A completed, current MRI/Radiology Aide skills checklist (within 1 year).
Scheduling & Availability:
- Shift Structure: Standard 8-hour shifts. Please note that alternative 10-hour or 12-hour shifts and block scheduling cannot be accommodated for this operational need.
- Flexibility: Must be willing to work variable shifts including evenings, weekends, and participate in the department's call rotation as needed.
Strict Facility Travel Policies:
- Radius Restriction: To qualify as a contract traveler, your permanent, legal residence must be greater than 50 miles away from the facility. Permanent address verification is required at the time of application.
- Planned Time Off (RTO): All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application. The facility can accommodate a maximum of 5 days of RTO per contract. No scheduling adjustments will be approved after an interview or offer is extended.
