Role Overview:
Seeking a compassionate and experienced Patient Care Technician (PCT) / Urgency Center Tech for a direct-hire, permanent position in New Hope, MN. Working under the direction of the clinical care team, the technician delivers supportive, patient-centered care, assists with patient flow, and performs clinical support duties within an urgent care/urgency center environment.

Key Responsibilities & Clinical Scope:
  • Supportive & Clinical Care: Deliver direct, compassionate patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and providers, supporting both patients and their families.
  • Patient Flow Management: Assist with triaging efficiency, rooming patients, monitoring vital signs, and optimizing patient movement throughout the clinical facility.
  • Emergency & Technical Support: Execute emergency care procedures, clinical protocols, and supportive interventions within the scope of EMT/PCT training.

Qualifications & Candidate Requirements:
  • Education & Certifications:
    • Successful completion of an accredited EMT Program [REQUIRED].
    • Active National or State EMT Certification [REQUIRED].
    • Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [REQUIRED].
  • Clinical Experience:
    • Minimum 1+ years of clinical technician experience in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting [REQUIRED].
    • Prior Emergency Department (ED) or urgent care clinical experience [PREFERRED].
  • Agency Direct-Application Restriction: Candidates who have applied directly to the health system are strictly ineligible for agency submission.

Schedule & Hours:
  • FTE & Commitment: 0.9 FTE (Full-Time | 36 hours per week average).
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (7:45 AM – 8:15 PM or 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM).
  • Rotational Schedule (6-Week Cycle):
    • Week 1: Fri / Sat / Sun (7:45 AM – 8:15 PM)
    • Week 2: Wed / Thu / Fri (8:00 AM – 8:30 PM)
    • Week 3: Tue / Wed / Thu (8:00 AM – 8:30 PM)
    • Week 4: Fri / Sat / Sun (7:45 AM – 8:15 PM)
    • Week 5: Tue (8:00 AM – 8:30 PM) / Thu (7:45 AM – 8:15 PM) / Fri (8:00 AM – 8:30 PM)
    • Week 6: Mon / Wed / Thu (7:45 AM – 8:15 PM)
  • Weekend Requirements: Rotating weekends as scheduled per department rotation.
  • On-Call Requirements: None.
