Shift & Schedule: 10 Hours/Day | 80 Hours per Pay Period.
- Option 1 (Day Shift): 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM.
- Option 2 (Evening Shift): 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM.Weekend & Call Requirements: Weekend rotation required | No on-call coverage.
Position Overview & Clinical Scope:
An established healthcare facility in Pontiac, MI is seeking a Permanent Radiologic Technologist to perform routine and diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures. Working under general supervision, the technologist delivers patient-centered care, maintains diagnostic imaging quality, and upholds strict radiation safety standards.
Key Responsibilities & Operational Duties:
- Diagnostic Patient Care: Position patients accurately and operate radiologic equipment to capture diagnostic images ordered by physicians; provide clear explanations to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
- Quality & Safety Assurance: Perform quality assurance checks and enforce radiation protection protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self; promptly notify on-duty physicians of test results.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic function checks on all assigned X-ray and department equipment.
- Documentation & Inventory: Maintain required paper and electronic medical logs, records, and charts; monitor and restock consumable supplies to maintain seamless operational efficiency.
Candidate Submission & Qualification Requirements:
Education & Training:
- High School Diploma / GED: Required.
- Radiology Education: Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology [REQUIRED].
- Degree: Associate degree in Radiologic Technology [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
Licensure & Certifications:
- ARRT Certification: Active certification in General Radiologic Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) [REQUIRED; documentation required at submittal].
- Life Support: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification [REQUIRED; documentation required at submittal].
