Job Title: Registered Dietitian (PACE Program)
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Registered Dietitian to join our Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) within the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). In this role, you will play a vital part in managing the nutritional health of elderly participants, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life through expert clinical intervention and personalized care plans.
This is a Full-Time, Monday–Friday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) position offering a consistent schedule and comprehensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Nutritional Assessment: Evaluate medical histories, lab data, and medications to determine the estimated nutritional needs of participants.
- Care Planning: Develop and implement nutrition interventions to improve or maintain medical diagnoses as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure all care meets Federal, State, and local PACE regulations.
- Education: Instruct participants, families, and staff on therapeutic diets, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- Collaboration: Attend daily IDT meetings to coordinate service delivery and update participant care plans.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Food & Nutrition meeting ADA registration requirements.
- Experience: Successful completion of an ADA-approved internship or coordinated undergraduate program.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Registered (RD) or Registration Eligible with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (Required).
- Current CPR/BCLS certification (Required).
- Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance (Required).
- State Licensure: Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Iowa (Compact allowed).
- Safety: Must obtain an accredited food protection/safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) within 90 days of hire.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $28.00 – $40.00 (based on experience).
- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000 available.
- Schedule: No weekends or holidays; standard business hours.
