Job Title: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN) to join a dynamic, collaborative healthcare team. This role provides specialized, professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Position Details:
- Shift & Department: Placement available across specialized Medical-Surgical units (including general medical, surgical, and sub-acute departments).
- Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: Maximum 6:1 ratio, ensuring a safe, manageable environment that supports high-quality patient care and relationship building.
- Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Compensation & Incentives:
- Hourly Rate: $29.00 – $43.00/hour (commensurate with education and experience).
- Shift Differentials: An additional $2.00/hour for designated shift and weekend rotations.
- Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000 relocation allowance available (to be detailed during the interview phase).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, professional nursing care to a variety of medical and surgical patients in accordance with professional standards and state regulations.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, establish nursing diagnoses, develop individualized care plans, and execute timely interventions.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions and reactions to drugs and treatments effectively.
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure excellent patient outcomes and comprehensive discharge planning.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities provided by the organization.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Diploma in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing [Required].
- Experience: New Graduates are welcome! The organization features an excellent Nurse Residency Program to support transition into practice.
- Licensure: Current, active Kansas (KS) or Compact Registered Nurse License is required at the time of submission [Required].
- Certification: Active BLS Certification [Required].
