Job Title: Clinical Coordinator (RN) - Behavioral Health
Job Summary: We are seeking a leadership-oriented Registered Nurse to serve as the Clinical Coordinator for our Behavioral Health outpatient practice. This hybrid role combines clinical supervision and direct patient care. You will be responsible for coordinating clinical support staff activities to optimize patient flow and guarantee adequate office hours coverage, while also functioning as an outpatient office nurse—triaging patient calls, managing prescription refills, and coordinating comprehensive patient care.
Salary Range: $34.14 – $51.21 / hour (dependent upon experience) Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Coordination: Oversee daily activities and scheduling of the clinical support staff to maximize department efficiency and enhance information flow.
- Direct Patient Care: Independently utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate psychiatric and behavioral health nursing interventions.
- Office & Triage Operations: Function as a primary office nurse by triaging clinical phone calls, coordinating complex care plans, and managing prescription refill requests.
- Medication Administration & Safety: Safely administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, ensuring strict maintenance of confidential patient information.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside attending physicians, fellow nurses, and mental health professionals to execute individualized patient treatment plans.
- Patient & Family Advocacy: Provide compassionate clinical guidance, offer emotional support, and educate patients and families on disease management and wellness strategies.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly preferred.
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered State Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid multi-state Compact license required at the time of application.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of dedicated nursing experience in a medical office or outpatient setting is required.
- Specialty Experience: Direct medical office experience that includes past clinical staff supervision and a background in pediatric care are both highly preferred.
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Skills: Strong working knowledge of medical terminology, outpatient procedures, and clinic equipment.
