Job Title: Mobile Ultrasound Technologist / Vascular Sonographer (Permanent)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a self-motivated, dependable, and highly autonomous Mobile Ultrasound Technologist to provide critical diagnostic imaging services across a nationwide network of care settings. In this unique role, you will travel locally via a company-provided vehicle to perform portable sonographic exams within various nursing homes, home care environments, and specialized residential facilities. You will operate independently to capture high-quality diagnostic images, working fluidly with a remote dispatch team and digital radiologists to ensure rapid, precise patient care.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:
Education & Registries:
  • Program Graduate: Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program [Required].
  • Primary Registry: Active registry with the ARDMS or CCI [Required]. Note: Limited or conditional licenses cannot be accepted for this role.
  • Specialty Credential: Must hold active RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) credentials for vascular ultrasound [Required].

Compliance & Operations:
  • Driving Record: Must maintain a valid, active Driver’s License at all times and clear periodic driving record checks [Required].
  • Health Screens: Must complete and pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, medical physical examination, and TB screening.
  • Vaccination Mandate: Vaccination against COVID-19 is a standard facility requirement; alternative medical/religious exemption requests must include complete supporting documentation [Required].
  • Technical Aptitude: Proficiency with basic smartphone operation, mobile email attachments, and digital scanning workflows [Required].

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to safely lift and maneuver an equipment bag weighing 18 to 20 pounds into and out of a vehicle, and navigate a wheeled equipment cart up to 250 feet inside facility corridors. (Note: Facility staff are strictly designated to handle patient transfers and positioning; technologists do not engage in patient lifting).

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Excellence & Patient Safety:
  • Deploy to assigned local regions using a self-dispatching application or central dispatch communication to manage an efficient daily case load.
  • Transport and set up portable sonographic equipment at the patient’s bedside, obtaining clinically diagnostic, technically competent images.
  • Enforce flawless patient safety protocols by verifying two specific patient identifiers (Name and DOB) directly with the patient or charge nurse prior to scanning.
  • Cross-check all physician orders against the patient's chart for absolute accuracy prior to initiating an exam.
  • Digitally process and transfer completed ultrasound studies immediately to a remote Radiologist for formal interpretation.

Professional Standards & Logistics:
  • Maintain the company-provided vehicle, fuel logs, and portable sonographic machinery in pristine operational order.
  • Adhere to professional appearance guidelines, including wearing the designated uniform and name tag during all facility visits.
  • Maintain a rapid communication response loop, answering urgent client or dispatch inquiries within 15 minutes and monitoring updates every 30 minutes.
  • Securely scan and submit daily exam paperwork, billing logs, and annual health maintenance compliance records per company protocol.
