Job Title: CT Technologist (Full-Time / Permanent)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated CT Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. This permanent position requires a skilled professional to set up computed tomography equipment, position patients, and acquire high-quality cross-sectional diagnostic images. This role provides essential service coverage on a rotating basis, including after-normal business hours, weekends, and holidays, caring for scheduled, inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients.
Compensation: $20.67 – $27.91 / hour (dependent upon experience) Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 sign-on bonus currently offered! Shift: Full-Time (includes after-hours, weekend, and holiday rotation)
Key Responsibilities:
- Imaging & Diagnostics: Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and post-processing equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Perform general radiography (X-ray) exams as needed and adjust protocols contextually to meet specific patient needs.
- Clinical Excellence: Evaluate the technical quality of images, keeping repeat rates at or below national standards. Independently assist radiologists during invasive procedures, including biopsies and abscess drainages.
- Patient Care: Practice positive patient identification, obtain comprehensive patient clinical histories, explain procedures clearly to ease anxiety, and accurately position patients using age-specific guidelines.
- Administrative & Collaboration: Maintain a thorough working knowledge of imaging terminology, front desk, and file room procedures. Consistently communicate diagnostic delays to patients and confer directly with radiologists regarding protocol adjustments and patient care.
- Professional Growth: Maintain equipment functionality and logs daily, and actively keep abreast of new imaging protocols, diagnostic trends, or technologist-level research.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited program with a minimum of a two-year Allied Health degree.
- Credentials: Active registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
- Specialty Certification: Advanced registry/certification in Computed Tomography (CT) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current, full-time experience working in both CT and X-ray within a hospital or Emergency Department setting.
