About the Job
Job Title: Polysomnographic Technologist / Sleep Technologist.
Job Summary: We are seeking a precise and dedicated Polysomnographic Technologist (Sleep Tech) to assist physicians in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating sleep disorders. In this role, you will perform comprehensive diagnostic sleep studies, monitoring and recording physiological data—including brain activity, cardiac rhythms, respiratory patterns, and blood oxygen saturation—to generate detailed clinical reports for sleep specialists and treating physicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sleep Study Execution: Perform diagnostic, titration, and split-night polysomnograms in accordance with clinical protocols and American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) standards.
  • Physiological Monitoring: Apply sensors and electrodes properly; monitor real-time clinical data including electroencephalograms (EEG), electrocardiograms (ECG), electromyograms (EMG), electrooculograms (EOG), airflow, respiratory effort, and oxygen saturation.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze, score, and summarize recorded sleep data to create accurate diagnostic reports for physician evaluation (aiding in the diagnosis of sleep apnea, narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome, and other disorders).
  • Patient Care & Education: Prepare patients for sleep studies, explain procedures clearly to alleviate anxiety, fit CPAP/BiPAP masks, and deliver patient education on therapy equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Clinical Experience: Minimum 1+ year of dedicated experience as a Sleep / Polysomnographic Technologist [Required].
  • Credentials:
    • Active RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) or CPSGT (Certified Polysomnographic Technologist) credential [Required].
    • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
  • Core Competencies: Proficiency in electrode placement (10-20 system), mask fitting/titration (CPAP/BiPAP), clinical data interpretation, and patient-centered communication.
