Job Title: Physical Therapist – Acute Care & Outpatient
Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate and treat functional deficits resulting from illness, injury, musculoskeletal dysfunction, or congenital conditions. Operating across acute care, post-acute, and outpatient settings, you will design and execute individualized treatment programs for patients across the lifespan (pediatric to geriatric), supervise physical therapist assistants (PTAs), and deliver high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.
Compensation & Incentives:
- Annual Salary Range: $75,000 – $110,000 / year (commensurate with experience).
- Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 Sign-On Bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations and ongoing reassessments; establish individualized, evidence-based treatment plans based on clinical judgment and provider orders.
- Therapeutic Delivery: Perform specialized physical therapy interventions, utilizing appropriate modalities tailored to each patient's age, diagnosis, and physical status.
- Delegation & Supervision: Direct and supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), technicians, and support staff, ensuring delegable tasks are performed safely and effectively.
- Patient & Family Education: Educate patients and caregivers on disease management, rehabilitation exercises, self-help measures, and injury prevention.
- Documentation & Coordination: Maintain timely, precise clinical records in patient medical files and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize discharge planning.
- Clinical Mentorship: Serve as a clinical instructor or mentor for physical therapy and PTA students when requested.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited university with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) [Required].
- Licensure: Active or eligible for State Physical Therapist License [Required].
- Clinical Background: Completion of required clinical fieldwork placements with demonstrated competency in core physical therapy principles and techniques [Required].
- Core Competencies: Ability to work autonomously, strong clinical reasoning across diverse age groups, and excellent interpersonal skills to support a collaborative care environment.
