The Opportunity:
Join a leading clinical team in Des Moines as a Radiation Physicist. You will lead technical quality assurance and collaborate directly with Radiation Oncologists to deliver high-precision therapeutic care. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform QA, commissioning, and calibrations for linear accelerators and brachytherapy equipment.
- Collaborate with Oncologists on External Beam, SRS, and HDR treatment planning.
- Oversee technical activities for the dosimetry and therapy staff.
- Ensure full compliance with Iowa HHS and federal regulatory requirements.
- Participate in IOeRT treatments and monitor HDR procedures.
Requirements:
- Education: M.S. in Medical Physics or related field (Required); PhD preferred.
- Residency: Must have completed a residency within the last 5 years.
- Certification: Board Certified by the ABR or ABMP (Required).
- Licensure: Eligible for Authorized Medical Physicist (AMP) status in Iowa.
- Experience: 3–5 years of clinical experience is highly preferred.
