Job Title: Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist (EEG Tech).
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist (EEG Tech) for a night-shift position (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). In this role, you will perform specialized neurodiagnostic testing in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), conduct routine laboratory procedures including Evoked Potentials, and assist with in-patient video monitoring and digital EEG recordings.
Schedule & Shift Details:
- Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM).
- Setting: Hospital Inpatient / Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) & Outpatient Neurodiagnostic Lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Epilepsy Monitoring & Video EEG: Perform specialized neurodiagnostic functions within the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), including reviewing and editing inpatient long-term video monitoring data.
- Diagnostic Testing: Conduct routine digital EEG recordings and specialized Evoked Potential studies (VEP, BAER, SSEP).
- Clinical Procedures: Execute routine neurodiagnostic laboratory procedures for both inpatient and outpatient populations in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Mentorship & Preceptorship: Serve occasionally as a clinical preceptor, orienting and training neurodiagnostic students and trainees.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certification: Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. EEG T.) credential through ABRET [Required].
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the neurodiagnostic field and/or direct experience in an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) [Required].
- Supervised Background: At least 2 years of experience working under the direct supervision of a Registered EEG Tech [Required].
- Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise in digital EEG, inpatient video monitoring review/editing, and Evoked Potentials (VEP, BAER, SSEP) [Required].
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Neurodiagnostic / EEG Technology program [Preferred].
