About the Job
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our neurodiagnostic team. In this role, you will perform specialized neurodiagnostic functions within an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) as well as routine laboratory procedures, including Evoked Potentials and routine EEGs (including occasional outpatient/off-site clinic coverage). You will also serve as a preceptor for student technologists as needed.

Schedule & Shift Details:
  • Position Title: Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist / EEG Tech
  • Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Epilepsy Monitoring & EEG: Perform specialized neurodiagnostic testing within the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), including in-patient video monitoring, review, and editing.
  • Evoked Potentials & Routine Procedures: Execute routine laboratory procedures, digital EEGs, and Evoked Potential recordings, including:
    • Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP)
    • Brainstem Auditory Evoked Responses (BAER)
    • Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SSEP)
  • Clinic & Outpatient Coverage: Provide routine EEG testing across assigned clinical and off-site practice locations as needed.
  • Preceptorship: Serve as a preceptor to mentor and guide student technologists during clinical training.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

Certification & Education:
  • Board Certification [REQUIRED]: Successful completion of the registration examination by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) (R. EEG T.).
  • Education [PREFERRED]: Graduate of an accredited Neurodiagnostic / EEG Technology program.

Experience & Background Requirements:
  • Field Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the neurodiagnostic field.
  • Supervised Training: Minimum of 2 years of supervised training under a Registered EEG Technologist.
  • Specialized Clinical Experience:
    • Background in digital EEG technology.
    • Demonstrated experience working within an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU).
    • Proven experience reviewing and editing in-patient (I.P.) video monitoring.
    • Experience conducting VEP, BAER, and SSEP Evoked Potential recordings.
