Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality care in an inpatient behavioral health setting. This role focuses on psychiatric patient assessment, medication administration, crisis intervention, care planning, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to promote patient safety, recovery, and stabilization.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment & Care Planning:
- Perform comprehensive physical, psychosocial, and behavioral assessments.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support treatment goals.
Clinical Patient Care:
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), wound care, and fall prevention.
- Operate and monitor patient care equipment.
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures as needed.
Behavioral Health Nursing:
- Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic treatment environment.
- Respond to psychiatric crises and medical emergencies.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and support patient recovery.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and medications.
Documentation & Collaboration:
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the EMR.
- Communicate changes in patient condition with the healthcare team.
- Supervise and support unlicensed assistive personnel when appropriate.
Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience.
- Recent acute care hospital experience within the last 5 years.
Licensure & Certifications:
- Active or eligible for Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- BLS Certification.
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Certification (or willingness to obtain before start).
