Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Behavioral Health team as a Clinical Coordinator. This leadership role combines direct patient care with coordination of daily clinical operations to ensure efficient patient flow and exceptional care delivery.
The Clinical Coordinator oversees clinical support staff, coordinates office workflows, and provides professional nursing care while working collaboratively with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership:
- Coordinate daily activities of the clinical support staff.
- Ensure appropriate staffing coverage during office hours.
- Promote efficient patient flow and clinical operations.
- Support and supervise clinical staff as needed.
Patient Care:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care.
- Utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality patient care.
- Triage patient telephone calls and coordinate appropriate follow-up care.
- Manage prescription refill requests.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, disease management, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Advocate for patients while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Follow all professional nursing standards, organizational policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Protect patient confidentiality at all times.
Professional Development:
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Stay current with evidence-based nursing practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Active New Hampshire RN License or Compact RN License.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a medical office setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and medical equipment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Pediatrics experience.
- Previous clinical staff supervision or leadership experience in a medical office.
