Job Title: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Med-Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our inpatient care team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive bedside nursing care, monitor cardiac telemetry, administer treatments, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Candidates should be flexible and willing to float to related nursing units as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Clinical Care: Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs and telemetry rhythms, administer medications, and carry out physician-ordered treatments for Med-Surg and Telemetry patients.
- Patient Monitoring & Response: Continually evaluate patient status, recognize critical changes in cardiac telemetry or clinical condition, and intervene swiftly in emergency situations.
- Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to execute and update individualized care plans and coordinate smooth care transitions.
- Patient & Family Education: Provide clear discharge instructions, disease management guidance, and post-care education to patients and their support systems.
- Documentation & Safety: Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in accordance with healthcare regulations and strict patient safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience [Required].
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) License [Required].
- Background: Previous travel nursing experience or background in a Critical Access Hospital setting [Highly Preferred].
