Job Title: Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN) – Mother & Baby Care.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, highly skilled Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated maternal-child health team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and supporting the physical, clinical, and emotional needs of new mothers and their newborns during the immediate postpartum recovery period.

The ideal candidate blends high-level clinical surveillance with an empathetic, educational approach, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and empowering environment for expanding families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Assessments: Perform comprehensive physical and emotional assessments of post-delivery mothers and healthy newborns.
  • Vital Surveillance: Regularly monitor maternal and newborn vital signs, recognizing subtle clinical changes and managing any medical concerns or complications promptly.
  • Patient & Family Education: Provide essential, hands-on education and support to new mothers regarding infant feeding (including lactation support), newborn care, maternal healing, and mother-baby bonding.
  • Procedural Support: Safely assist with and administer medical procedures, treatments, and prescribed medications within the scope of postpartum nursing practice.
  • Care Coordination: Act as a central communicator, facilitating seamless coordination between the mother, family, and the broader healthcare team.
  • Documentation: Maintain precise, timely, and secure electronic medical records detailing patient status and recovery milestones.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications.
Experience & Clinical Background:
  • Specialized Experience: Minimum of 3 years of dedicated Mother-Baby / Postpartum experience [Required].
  • Clinical Core: Demonstrated proficiency in simultaneous care for both the postpartum mother and neonate.

Licensure & Certifications:
  • RN Licensure: Active, unrestricted State Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing [Required at time of application].
  • Life Support Certifications: Active, verified certifications in hand through the American Heart Association (AHA) or equivalent [Required]:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS).
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Immunization Requirements: Candidates must have up-to-date COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations to align with the facility's health and safety guidelines for maternal-infant units.
