Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Weekend Night Shift
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and certified Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a weekend-only night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). In this role, you will deliver rapid, high-quality emergency nursing care to high-acuity patients within a fast-paced, Level 1 Trauma environment. You will perform critical triage, stabilize trauma patients, administer life-saving interventions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary emergency medical teams.
Schedule & Orientation Details:
- Shift: Weekend Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday).
- Orientation: 3-Day Orientation Program (Tuesday through Thursday).
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage & Rapid Assessment: Conduct initial rapid assessments of incoming patients to prioritize clinical urgency and initiate emergency stabilization protocols.
- Trauma & Emergency Care: Deliver advanced critical care interventions for severe trauma, cardiac events, stroke, respiratory distress, and complex surgical or medical emergencies.
- Resuscitation & Stabilization: Administer emergency medications, manage advanced airways, monitor hemodynamic status, and assist physicians during emergency procedures.
- Interdisciplinary Communication: Communicate critical patient changes promptly to emergency physicians and trauma surgeons using structured communication tools.
- Documentation & Safety: Maintain accurate, time-sensitive electronic health records while strictly adhering to safety and infection control standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of dedicated Emergency Room (ER) RN experience [Required].
- Trauma Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center [Required].
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) License [Required].
- Certifications:
- Active Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification [Required].
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
- Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the AHA [Required].
- Active Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the AHA [Required].
