Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner / Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, clinical Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our acute care cardiopulmonary team. In this role, you will perform complex respiratory care procedures, deliver diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and manage mechanical ventilation across critical care, emergency, and inpatient units.
Working closely with physicians, pulmonologists, and nursing staff, you will evaluate patient response to therapies, adjust treatment plans, and respond to acute clinical emergencies across all age groups, including neonatal and adult populations.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Respiratory Care & Critical Support:
  • Airway & Ventilation Management: Initiate, monitor, manage, and maintain mechanical ventilators, non-invasive positive pressure ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP), and artificial airways.
  • Diagnostic & Therapeutic Care: Administer aerosolized medications, deliver chest physiotherapy, perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis, and perform routine airway suctioning.
  • Emergency Response: Serve as an active team member for emergency bedside resuscitations, including Code Blue, Trauma, Stroke, and High-Risk Delivery/Neonatal resuscitations.
  • Patient Assessment & Evaluation: Assess cardiopulmonary status, monitor therapeutic outcomes, and collaborate with physicians to adjust plans of care.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:
Clinical Experience & Education:
  • RRT Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of dedicated experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in an acute care hospital setting [Required].
  • Travel Experience: Prior experience in travel or contract healthcare settings [Preferred].
Certifications & Licensure:
  • Credentialing: Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) [Required].
  • Life Support Certifications: Active certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA):
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) [Required]
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) [Required]
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) [Required]
  • State Licensure: Active, unrestricted State Respiratory Care Practitioner License [Required].
