Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team. In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for executing the full nursing process—assessing patient needs, designing individualized care plans, administering psychiatric nursing interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes in a supportive, trauma-informed milieu.

This role requires clinical leadership, exceptional communication, and a dedication to delivering holistic support (emotional, social, and physical) to individuals navigating acute mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Assessment & Care Planning: Complete comprehensive psychiatric and physical health assessments. Develop, evaluate, and dynamically revise collaborative, multidisciplinary plans of care.
  • Patient Care & Support: In collaboration with attending physicians, coordinate and execute medical and nursing interventions. Provide emotional, social, and crisis stabilization support in both individual and group settings.
  • Discharge & Milieu Management: Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, medications, and coping strategies; coordinate post-acute care and transition-of-care planning.
  • Safety & Quality Control: Maintain a safe, highly secure therapeutic environment. Actively monitor patient behaviors, document clinical changes, and promptly report potential safety risks to the medical provider.
  • Clinical Leadership: Function as a clinical leader on the unit (with opportunities to act as Charge Nurse), directing, delegating, and overseeing licensed and non-licensed direct care staff.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted State Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing [Required].
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing [Required]; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly preferred.
  • Experience Baseline: Solid clinical background; prior clinical experience in psychiatric nursing, crisis stabilization, or Emergency Department (ED) care is highly preferred.
  • New Graduates: Passionate new graduate nurses are welcome to apply and will be considered!
Core Competencies:
  • Strong physical and emotional stamina to support patients navigating high-acuity behavioral health crises.
  • Excellent communication, active listening, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, potentially adverse clinical environment.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
