Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Rehabilitation & Med-Surg (Charge/Float)
Job Summary: We are seeking a versatile Registered Nurse (RN) with charge experience to join an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit specializing in Cardiovascular Disease, Physical Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Psychiatry. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care for complex physical and neurological recovery patients, step into Charge Nurse duties as needed, and float across Med-Surg/rehab units to maintain patient care coverage.

Shift & Schedule Details:
  • Schedule: Rotational shifts including required weekend and holiday coverage.
  • Flexibility: Position includes floating across inpatient rehab and medical-surgical care units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inpatient Rehab Care: Deliver specialized nursing interventions for patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury, cardiac rehab events, and severe trauma.
  • Charge RN Leadership: Assume charge nurse responsibilities as scheduled—directing shift operations, overseeing patient assignments, and guiding clinical support staff.
  • EHR & Documentation: Utilize EPIC EMR to chart patient assessments, treatment plans, medication administration, and multidisciplinary progress.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, physiatrists, and psychiatric specialists to achieve rehabilitation goals and facilitate discharge.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Clinical Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) or Inpatient Rehab nursing experience [Required].
  • Clinical Competencies:
    • Prior Charge Nurse experience [Required].
    • Hands-on experience with stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, trauma, or cardiac rehabilitation populations [Required].
  • EHR Proficiency: Direct hands-on experience using EPIC EMR [Required].
  • Licensure & Certifications:
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact/Multistate License [Required].
    • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
    • Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
  • Core Competencies: Strong clinical assessment skills, leadership adaptability, patient advocacy, and team-based problem-solving.
