Job Title: Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) – Mixed Emergency & Medical/Surgical

Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile, highly skilled, and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our inpatient team at a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. This unique role requires a dynamic professional capable of "hitting the ground running" and working independently across multiple clinical spheres. You will care for a vast array of patients across the lifespan by assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating comprehensive nursing care utilizing critical thinking and sound clinical judgment.

Compensation & Core Perks

  • Hourly Rate: $33.90 - $45.25 / hour (Determined strictly by verifiable years of experience)
  • Estimated Annual Salary: $70,512 - $94,120 (Based on a standard 40-hour workweek)
  • Full-Time Threshold: Full-time comprehensive health benefits trigger at a minimum of just 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate personalized nursing care plans for an expansive patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric.
  • Cross-Departmental Competency: Confidently manage workflows spanning the Emergency Department (ED), Medical/Surgical unit, and Progressive Care/Telemetry environments.
  • Cardiac & Telemetry Monitoring: Maintain continuous, accurate monitoring of cardiac telemetry and respond rapidly to acute changes in patient status.
  • Clinical Documentation: Assume full responsibility for accurate, real-time documentation of nursing judgments, interventions, and outcomes on your assigned unit.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Act as an empowering team player, communicating seamlessly across interdisciplinary medical teams to promote patient safety and satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

Experience & Setting Exposure

  • Emergency Department: Minimum of 2+ years of dedicated ED experience [Required].
  • Inpatient Care: Minimum of 2+ years of combined ICU, PCU, or Medical/Surgical experience [Required].
  • Telemetry Skills: Proven competence with cardiac monitoring and telemetry protocols [Required].
  • Operational Drive: Prior experience working in rural or small/Critical Access facilities is preferred. Must be comfortable making independent nursing decisions with minimal supervision.

Licensure & Certifications

  • State Licensure: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by New Hampshire or an active multi-state Compact RN license in-hand at the time of application [Required].
  • Life Support & Trauma Certifications: All certifications must be active and issued via the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required]:
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
