Join Our Surgical Services Team!

We are seeking an experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time temporary contract in Lapeer, MI. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality post-operative care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Position Details:

Job Type: Temporary / Full-Time Contract.
Location: Lapeer, MI.
Shift: Days (12-hour shifts).
Hours: 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM.
Weekend Requirement: Call coverage only.
On-Call: 4–6 twelve-hour call shifts per 28-day schedule (includes weekend call).

Responsibilities:

Provide post-anesthesia nursing care for adult and pediatric surgical patients.
Monitor patient recovery, airway stability, vital signs, pain, and sedation levels.
Administer medications and treatments according to PACU protocols.
Recognize and respond to post-operative complications and emergencies.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

Qualifications:

Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Excellent critical thinking, communication, and patient care skills.
