Role Overview

Seeking a full-time, permanent Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Program Supervisor in Southgate, MI. The supervisor will oversee all administrative and clinical functions of the IDD program, provide clinical supervision to staff, manage crisis situations, direct quality improvement initiatives, and maintain compliance with state waiver programs and accrediting standards.

Key Responsibilities & Clinical Scope

  • Clinical Supervision & Leadership: Provide individual and standard clinical supervision using varied methodologies; direct staff hiring, performance evaluations, and team development.
  • Program & Waiver Management: Ensure compliance with Habilitation Waiver, Children’s Waiver, and funding source mandates; utilize EMR data to track productivity and program metrics.
  • Quality Assurance & Accreditation: Participate in Total Quality Management (TQM) committees; ensure clinical records meet JCAHO and accrediting standards.
  • Crisis & Case Management: Direct crisis response for staff and clients; assess community needs and coordinate delivery of psychiatric, psychological, and case management services.
  • Administration & Training: Conduct regular team meetings, manage departmental budgets with leadership, and maintain Person-Centered Planning principles.

Qualifications & Candidate Requirements

  • Education & Licensure: Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling with active Michigan LMSW, LLP, or LPC licensure [REQUIRED].
  • Clinical Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year evaluating and treating children/adolescents [REQUIRED].
    • Minimum 1 year working with intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) diagnoses and modalities [REQUIRED].
    • Prior supervisory experience [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
  • Specialty Certifications: Must meet CMHP (Children’s Mental Health Professional) and QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional) requirements within 120 days of hire [REQUIRED].
  • Other Requirements: Valid driver's license with favorable record [REQUIRED]. Experience with state waiver programs and EMR systems [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
  • Restrictions: Visa sponsorship unavailable (J-1/H-1B candidates not accepted). Direct applicants to the facility are strictly ineligible for agency placement.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Shift Schedule: Day Shift | Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week; includes at least 4 hours scheduled after 5:00 PM weekly). Additional evening/weekend hours as needed.
  • Weekend Requirements: To be determined based on client and program needs.
  • On-Call Requirements: None.
