Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer / Echocardiography Technologist
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer / Echocardiography Technologist to perform comprehensive diagnostic echocardiographic imaging in our Accredited Echo Lab. Working closely with cardiologists across outpatient clinics, acute inpatient settings, and structural heart procedures, you will utilize advanced ultrasound modalities to assist in the diagnosis and management of cardiac diseases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostic Echocardiography: Perform advanced transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) using M-mode, 2D, 3D, spectral Doppler, color Doppler, tissue Doppler imaging, and strain imaging.
  • Specialized & Stress Imaging: Conduct contrast-enhanced echocardiograms, bubble studies, and assist with both exercise and pharmacology stress echocardiograms.
  • Procedural Support: Assist cardiologists with 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and provide specialized imaging guidance for structural heart procedures.
  • Clinical Procedures & IV Care: Perform IV insertions for the administration of ultrasound imaging enhancement agents (contrast) and agitated saline for bubble studies while maintaining strict aseptic technique.
  • Coverage & EHR Documentation: Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to document findings, manage shift workflow, and participate in after-hours, weekend, and holiday call rotations.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate with an Associate or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Echocardiography Program [Required].
  • Experience: Minimum 1+ years of clinical experience as a Cardiac Sonographer [Required].
  • Credentials:
    • Active Registration as a Cardiac Sonographer: RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) [Required].
    • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through AHA or ARC [Required].
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in EKG rhythm interpretation, sterile technique, and IV insertion for ultrasound contrast agents [Required].
  • Core Competencies: Ability to work across multiple heart and vascular clinic sites, participate in on-call rotations, and communicate effectively with attending cardiologists and care teams.
