Job Title: MRI Technologist (ARRT - MRI)
Job Summary: We are seeking an autonomous and skilled MRI Technologist to perform high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care settings. Operating independently under limited supervision, you will utilize technical initiative, clinical expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of MRI safety protocols to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging for patients of all ages.

Compensation:
  • Median Salary: $104,601 / year (commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostic MRI Execution: Prepare patients, position equipment, select appropriate pulse sequences, and independently perform specialized MRI exams according to clinical protocols.
  • MRI Safety & Patient Care: Maintain strict adherence to Zone IV safety guidelines, screen patients and staff for metallic/implant contraindications, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout scans.
  • Imaging Quality & Workflow: Review completed images for technical quality, process scan data, and transmit images to the Radiologist for prompt interpretation.
  • Vascular Access: Perform venipuncture for contrast media administration as ordered by the supervising physician.
  • Quality Assurance & Maintenance: Assist with routine equipment quality control (QC), report system malfunctions, and adhere to hospital infection control standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of a formal AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology [Required].
  • Clinical Experience: Demonstrated experience performing MRI procedures in a hospital setting [Required].
  • Certifications & Credentials:
    • Active ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification [Required].
    • Active ARRT Advanced Registry in MRI [Required].
    • Active CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification [Required].
    • Venipuncture Certification [Required within 3 months of hire].
  • Core Competencies: Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, high commitment to safety protocols, excellent patient communication, and independent problem-solving skills.
