Job Title: Mobile Point of Care Lab Technician (LVN / MLT / CLS)
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Mobile Point of Care Lab Technician to perform waived laboratory testing in a mobile clinical setting. Operating a mobile laboratory vehicle, you will process specimens, conduct point-of-care diagnostic testing, perform phlebotomy procedures, and transmit accurate results to healthcare providers. This role requires clinical laboratory expertise, strong attention to quality control, and independent operation in a mobile environment.
Compensation & Perks:
  • Pay Rate: $26.00 – $32.00 / hour (commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mobile Lab Operations: Operate assigned mobile lab delivery vehicle to transport testing equipment to high-volume clinical areas and STAT testing locations.
  • Point-of-Care Testing: Perform waived laboratory testing across Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Molecular, and Coagulation lines following strict quality control protocols.
  • Specimen Collection & Processing: Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections, log requisitions, and process incoming specimens from phlebotomists and couriers.
  • Data & Quality Management: Enter patient demographics and test orders into the Lab Information System (LIS), run routine QC checks, confirm abnormal/rare test results, and track STAT turn-around times.
  • Equipment & Inventory Care: Perform routine maintenance on laboratory instrumentation, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain accurate reagent and supply inventories.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Professional Credentials: Must hold an active license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) [Required - No standalone phlebotomists].
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent [Required] plus completion of qualifying professional clinical program.
  • Driver’s License: Active driver’s license with a clean driving record [Required].
  • Clinical Skills: Familiarity with laboratory workflows, testing procedures, and phlebotomy practices [Required].
  • Immunization: COVID-19 vaccination or valid exemption documentation [Required].
  • Physical & Vision: Ability to handle biological hazards safely, perform precise manual tasks, lift up to 15 lbs, and maintain normal color vision perception.
