Job Title: MRI Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures in a collaborative clinical department. In this role, you will operate GE MRI systems, conduct diagnostic scans for approximately 9 patients per shift, and work alongside technologist aides or fellow MRI techs to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- MRI Diagnostic Procedures: Perform complex diagnostic MRI examinations adhering to strict clinical protocols, magnetic safety guidelines, and patient positioning standards.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate GE MRI platforms (including HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 systems) and utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Meditech Expanse to process patient data.
- Team Collaboration & Workflow: Work in a supportive, paired environment (working alongside another tech or tech aide) to maintain smooth shift throughput and patient safety.
- Patient Safety & Care: Screen patients for magnetic contraindications, administer care, communicate procedure steps clearly, and maintain image quality for physician interpretation.
- Shift & Call Coverage: Participate in evening, weekend, and after-hours call rotations as needed by the department.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of current clinical Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) experience [Required].
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with GE MRI equipment [Required]. (Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred).
- Certifications:
- Active ARRT (MR) Certification [Required].
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
- Core Competencies: Strong team-oriented approach, willingness to work flexible schedules (evenings, weekends, and on-call), and dedication to magnetic safety protocols.
