Job Title: Radiology Medical Imaging Technologist I

Job Summary:
We are seeking a versatile, patient-focused Radiology Medical Imaging Technologist I to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures across multi-age patient populations. In this role, you will apply core imaging principles and techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic results while contributing to efficient daily departmental workflow.
This position is ideal for a certified technologist with strong technical proficiency, an independent problem-solving mindset, and a commitment to radiation safety and compassionate patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
Diagnostic Imaging & Patient Workflow:
  • Exam Execution: Perform diagnostic imaging exams following established clinical protocols and modalities for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Workflow Oversight: Provide daily operational leadership to maintain smooth patient flow and optimal department efficiency.
  • Patient Interaction: Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain exam processes clearly, address concerns, and ensure physical safety and comfort.

Technical & Departmental Operations:
  • Equipment & Systems Operation: Utilize computer systems, imaging workstations, and electronic health record software relevant to the radiology department.
  • Safety & Confidentiality: Maintain strict patient privacy (HIPAA compliance), adhere to departmental policies, and work independently with minimal direct supervision.

Schedule & Benefits Overview:
  • Pay Rate: $30.00 – $45.00 / hour (Union position; rate determined strictly by verifiable years of experience)

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Certifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program [Required] (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Professional Registration: Active certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in relevant modality [Required].
  • Life Support: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
  • Radiation Safety Pledges: Image Gently and Image Wisely pledge certificates [Preferred / Obtainable within 30 days of hire].

Experience & Modalities:
  • Experience Level: 3 years of hospital-based imaging experience [Highly Preferred] (Open to qualified New Graduates or technologist candidates with less experience).
  • Modality Expertise: Experience or certification in Radiologic Technology, Mammography, CT, or MRI [Preferred].
  • Core Competencies: Ability to work independently, make sound technical judgments, and maintain consistent punctuality and attendance.
