Job Title: Medical Data Entry & Laboratory Support Clerk (Contract)
Job Summary
We are seeking an efficient, detail-oriented Laboratory Data Entry Support Clerk for an immediate, short-term contract assignment. In this role, you will provide critical administrative support to a newly upgraded laboratory department during a system transition. Your primary responsibility will be scanning physical laboratory results into the electronic medical database and ensuring high-accuracy data entry to maintain seamless patient documentation.
Position & Schedule Details
- Job Type: Full-Time, Short-Term Contract (Local candidates highly preferred)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Schedule Flexibility: Ability to flex hours occasionally to accommodate a portion of the second shift is a major plus, though not an absolute requirement. (Potential weekend needs to be determined).
- Urgency: Immediate Start / ASAP.
- Logistics: All requested time off (RTO) must be fully disclosed at the time of application.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
Experience & Core Skills
- Data Entry Skills: Strong baseline data entry skills with an exceptional, documented attention to detail [Required].
- Prior Data Entry Experience: Previous professional experience handling high-volume data entry workflows is [Highly Preferred].
- Healthcare Background: Prior experience working within a medical office, laboratory, or healthcare facility environment is [Highly Preferred].
Compliance & Submission Records
- Professional References: Must provide an updated work history along with one signed supervisory reference from within the past year of employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Management: Systematically scan physical laboratory test results and diagnostic documents into the internal healthcare database.
- Data Verification: Input patient demographics, test codes, and clinical outcomes accurately, verifying that data fields match the source files perfectly.
- Workflow Support: Assist the laboratory department in maintaining organized manual and digital records during a temporary system-to-system transition.
- Quality Control: Identify and flag illegible documents or data discrepancies, working collaboratively with lab technicians to ensure administrative accuracy.
