Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist to join a high-volume Cath Lab providing comprehensive cardiac and peripheral vascular services. The lab supports Cardiologists, Interventional Radiologists, and General Surgery with a wide variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures.
The technologist will rotate between scrubbing and circulating procedures while operating imaging equipment and assisting with patient care throughout the Cath Lab process.
Procedures Performed:
Cardiac & Vascular Procedures:
- Left Heart Cath.
- Right & Left Heart Cath.
- PTCA.
- Coronary and Peripheral Stenting.
- Thrombectomy.
- Atherectomy.
- Carotid diagnostics and stenting.
- Peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Additional Procedures:
- Pacemaker Insertions.
- Tilt Table Testing.
- Kyphoplasty.
- AV graft diagnostics, stenting, and thrombectomy.
Equipment & Systems:
Cath Lab Technology:
- Philips Laser System.
- IVUS.
- OCT.
- Coronary & Peripheral Atherectomy Devices.
- Two Siemens Artis Zee C-Arms.
Documentation & Monitoring Systems:
- McKesson CPACS.
- McKesson Cardiology.
- McKesson Hemodynamic System.
Core Responsibilities:
- Scrub and circulate Cath Lab procedures.
- Operate X-ray imaging equipment during procedures.
- Assist with pre- and post-procedure patient care.
- Transport patients as needed.
- Support inventory management and billing processes.
- Participate in rotating evening, night, weekend, and holiday call coverage.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday.
- 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
- 8-Hour Day Shifts.
- 36 Hours Guaranteed.
Call Requirements:
- Rotated among 4 staff members.
- Typically 2 call days per week.
- Includes an off-call week rotation.
Required:
- Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience.
- Current BLS (AHA) Certification.
- RCIS or applicable licensure/certifications.
- Current Cath Lab skills checklist.
- Two supervisory references within the last two years.
Preferred:
- Recent traveler experience.
- ACLS (AHA) Certification.
