Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Family Medicine (Contract)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly professional, compassionate, and adaptable Certified Medical Assistant (MA) for a full-time contract assignment within a fast-paced Family Medicine practice. In this role, you will perform essential clinical support procedures under the direct supervision of the clinical coordinator, office nurse, or attending physician. Position & Schedule Details:

- Clinical Setting: Family Medicine Outpatient Clinic (On-Site)
- Logistics: Standard daytime operational hours. Note: All requested time off (RTO) must be explicitly submitted at the time of application to guarantee facility scheduling approval.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
Experience & Clinical Background:
- Medical Assistant Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of current, full-time experience as a Medical Assistant [Required].
- Travel Experience: Prior experience navigating contract/travel assignments is [Highly Preferred].
- Professional Attributes: Must demonstrate excellent emotional stability, absolute discretion regarding patient confidentiality (HIPAA), and the ability to manage workflow efficiently under pressure.
Certifications & Licensure:
- Primary Certification: Active AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants) Certification or an equivalent accredited national medical assistant certification [Required]. (Credentials must be valid and active at submission).
- Life Support: Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification [Required].
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Support & Patient Care:
- Perform routine clinical procedures within the MA scope of practice, including blood draws, injections, childhood immunizations, and basic point-of-care laboratory tests.
- Room patients, capture accurate vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration), and assist patients with mobility constraints getting to and from examination areas.
- Efficiently assist physicians and nursing staff during clinical examinations, specialized treatments, and outpatient procedures.
Administrative & Environmental Maintenance:
- Triages, takes, and returns patient phone calls, relaying exact clinical instructions to patients precisely as directed by the primary care physician.
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records, assisting with the administrative completion of laboratory slips, specialist referral forms, and other charting documentation.
- Take personal accountability for the cleanliness of examination rooms, ensuring they are continuously cleaned, sanitized, and fully stocked with clinical supplies.
- Monitor clinical inventory thresholds, requisitioning medical office supplies as necessary to prevent operational shortages.
- Maintain an exceptionally flexible team-player mindset, assisting across various areas of the clinic as requested by leadership.
