- Candidate Location Requirement: This is a travel contract position designed specifically for non-local candidates. Local applicants living near the immediate facility area cannot be considered for this travel-stipend-eligible role.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
Experience & Clinical Background
- Medical Assistant Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of active, full-time experience as a Medical Assistant [Required].
- Travel Experience: Prior experience successfully navigating travel or contract assignments is [Highly Preferred].
- Core Competencies: Proven experience compiling accurate health histories, setting up sterile surgical fields, and managing informed consent documentation.
Certifications & Document Compliance
- Primary Certification: Active, accredited National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) [Required].
- Life Support: Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification [Required].
- Submission Packets: Must provide an updated work history, a specialty-specific MA skills checklist completed within the last year, and two signed supervisory reference forms from within the past two years of employment.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Room patients, capture routine vital signs, and gather detailed, pertinent medical histories to prepare individuals for examination.
- Educate and mentally prepare patients for upcoming office procedures, ensuring all questions are answered and appropriate informed consent forms are accurately executed.
- Administer scheduled injections and medications under the direct supervision of the attending physician.
- Assist the physician during clinical treatments, minor in-office surgical procedures, and the comprehensive preparation of diagnostic surgical packets.
Laboratory & Communication Workflows
- Assist the medical team in collecting, tracking, labeling, and preparing laboratory specimens for processing.
- Notify patients of diagnostic laboratory or imaging results and relay subsequent plans of care precisely as directed by the physician.
- Maintain clean, fully stocked examination rooms and adhere to all facility safety and infection control protocols.
